Z12E Engine
The new 1.2-litre petrol engine with 3 cylinders delivers outstanding fuel efficiency with impressive low-end torque for quick, responsive acceleration. It is also equipped with a number of advanced features that help suppress CO2 emissions.
Transmission
The new Dzire’s CVT ensures a smoother and more comfortable ride. Its offers seamless transmission by adopting a lock-up damper with low rigidity to the torque converter that minimises the loss of torque, delivers higher fuel efficiency and decreases maintenance cost. There is also a 5-speed manual transmission option that enhances fuel efficiency and power delivery with a gear ratio that is specifically optimised to match the performance characteristics of the engine and drivetrain. Shifting action is smooth and responsive, requiring only a light touch to ensure positive gear engagement.
HEARTECT platform
The smoothly curving frame increases underbody stiffness to help ensure excellent fundamental vehicle performance. In addition, it also contributes to collision safety by efficiently dispersing impact energy.
Front and rear suspension
The suspension system delivers a comfortable ride with excellent road-holding and handling stability. Rear suspension stroke is optimised for superior road surface followability.
Safety
6 airbags
The new Dzire is equipped with dual front and side airbags for the driver and front passenger. Curtain airbags are also adopted for all passengers.
Rear parking sensor
While you’re parking, four ultrasonic sensors integrated in the rear bumper are designed to detect obstacles. Warning sounds alerting you by changing in accordance with the distance to the obstacle.
Cruise control
Cruise control can be activated via a button on the steering wheel, allowing you to release the accelerator pedal during highway driving to reduce fatigue on long trips.
Lead-to-vehicle light
When the doors are unlocked by the remote control during night, the low beams turn on and stay for 10 seconds (customisable) to lead the driver to the vehicle.
Follow-me-home light
The headlamps continue to illuminate the area in front of the vehicle for a short while upon exit. Flashing the headlamps and opening the driver’s side door (not necessarily in that order) after the engine is turned off activates this function. The low beams stay on for 10 seconds (customisable).
